Carnain
Cottage has
a spacious kitchen/dining room, a utility room with dishwasher and
washing machine, a shower room & toilet, a bathroom, sitting room, 3
good-sized bedrooms with excellent storage space, a play room and a
large, enclosed garden. The house has views across Lochindaal to both
Bowmore and Bruichladdich towns.

Living Room
|
|
This room is in the original part of the
house and retains the original wood beams on the ceiling. The floor is
varnished and there is ample seating for 6 adults. The solid fuel
stove and central heating ensure that this is a warm and cozy room even
on the coldest of winter days. The window is south facing and
looks out
over Loch Indaal towards Bowmore. There is a small 14" colour TV
and a CD player/Radio.

Kitchen/Dining Room
|
|
This is a large room with a fitted kitchen
and Rayburn Cooker that supplies hot water and central heating to the
house as well as it's
superb cooking capacity.
There is also a twin gas
hob and large (40L capacity) microwave & combination oven
that cover all forms of cooking. There is a large freestanding fridge
freezer located in the kitchen with both the dishwasher and
washing machine being situated in the adjacent utility room. The large
patio doors give an uninterrupted view westwards across the patio area
and onwards to Lochindaal and Bruichladdich village.

Shower & Toilet
|
|
This is a walk in shower room and toilet
located on the ground floor of the cottage and has an electric shower
with attractive mosaic tiled floor and fully tiled walls.

Bedroom 1
|
|
This bedroom is located on the ground floor
in the original portion of the cottage and retains the original wood
beams in the ceiling. There is an open fireplace (ornamental only) and
small built in hanging cupboard for storage together with a double bed,
chest of drawers and bedside tables. This room commands views out over Lochindaal to
the south and beyond to Bowmore.

Bedroom 2 & 3
|
|
From the downstairs hall, stairs lead up to the upper floor.
At the front, South facing, are two further bedrooms, one with twin beds,
the other has a double bed. Both
have large built in wardrobes, bedside tables, chest of drawers and fitted carpets.

Play Room
|
|
This is a large (17' x 12') bright room
with windows facing to the East, West and North and is equipped with a
21" Nicam Stereo TV + Video, Table Football, as well as numerous board games.

Bathroom
|
|
This has a toilet, wash hand basin and full
size bath with tiled splash back. The floor is ceramic tiles and there
is a light with electric shaver point.

Safety
|
|
Please
note that this cottage was completely renovated and rebuilt during 2001
- all electrics and plumbing were professionally installed and met the
latest regulations at that point in time.
There
are a number of safety features:-

Smoke detectors located at the doors of the bedrooms.

Escape windows fitted in the upstairs bedrooms and Play Room.

Fire
extinguisher in the kitchen.

Fire Extinguisher in the upstairs hall. (Both are serviced annually)

Fireguard for the Solid Fuel Stove in the living room.
